ESATIC once again distinguishes itself on the innovation scene by winning four (4) awards in a single day at the hackathons organized by African Digital Week (ADW)!
We congratulate in succession:
- The team made up of TRAORÉ Rice-Aliman (M1 BIHAR), YENDOKOUA Noel, DIARRASSOUBA Brahima, and KOFFI Christ Poyah Ivann (All M1 CSIA students) won first prize at the ADW 2026 hackathon thanks to their innovative solution called «BALO AI.» This voice-activated mobile app, powered by artificial intelligence, allows rural communities to buy, sell, and get information simply by speaking. Their team stood out among four teams representing three Ivorian universities.
- The team composed of Traoré Rice, all M1 BIHAR students, who won first prize in the MIABE International Hackathon in the «Open Budget» category for their solution «Budget CI,» a web and mobile platform for budget transparency that allows citizens to track, secure, and access public revenues and expenditures through blockchain.
- The team composed of Diarrasouba Brahima (M1 CSIA) and Kakpo Parfaite Rebecca (M1 SIGL), who won first prize in the «Sentinel» category at the MIABE International Hackathon for their solution «Ma Commune,» a platform that allows citizens to report incidents they encounter via a photo taken directly from the app. A total of 8 teams competed in the MIABE for all categories.
- The team consisting of 6 students, including Poya and Diarrassouba from the CID, who won third prize at ADW Geek 2026 for their solution «MX Chemistry,» a helmet that allows students from sixth grade to high school to conduct virtual reality chemistry experiments. This competition brought together 14 startups.
Thanks to their commitment, creativity, and the relevance of their solutions, they managed to convince the jury members and stand out positively!
