This year's Salon de l'Agriculture et des Ressources Animales (SARA 2025), a key event for the agricultural sector in Côte d'Ivoire, included a technology competition.
This challenge brought together innovative project owners and passionate developers around a common goal: 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞́𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐫 𝐥'𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞́𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐥'𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐭 𝐥'𝐞́𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐬.
Of the 37 teams involved in this adventure, 14 were selected to take part in the grand final, held on May 27, 2025. These finalists presented their projects to a jury of agricultural experts, tech professionals and institutional representatives.
At the closing ceremony on May 31st, the winners were announced. The first prize was awarded to the WAMI Project, an innovative solution developed by three brilliant students from the African Higher School of Information and Communication Technologies (ESATIC): N’CHO BONI, KELA WIDDIE, and TAPE NANCY.
The WAMI project perfectly embodied the synergy between technology and sustainable development, demonstrating that Ivorian youth is ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow thanks to artificial intelligence.
