BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE AFRICAN HIGHER SCHOOL OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ESATIC)

The Professor Adama KONATÉ is a recognized expert in the field of information and communication technologies, with a career marked by academic excellence, institutional commitment, and the promotion of digital innovation in Africa.

Holder of a PhD in Physics, specialization in Lasers and Applications, obtained at the University of Caen (France), he began his university career in 1996 at the University Félix Houphouët-Boigny from Abidjan, before joining in 1999 the’National Polytechnic Institute Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INPHB).

His public administration career began in 2006 as Director of SME Promotion to Ministry of Industry and Private Sector Promotion. He is then appointed Deputy Chief of Staff to Ministry of Handicrafts and SME Promotion at June 2011.

Visit May 23, 2012, he takes the lead of the’ESATIC, where he has since been working to make the institution a Regional Center of Excellence training, research, and innovation in the digital field. Under his leadership, ESATIC has undergone modernization of its programs, strengthening of international partnerships, and a notable improvement in the employability of its graduates.
