The ESATIC at the 6th edition of African Digital Week

From June 1st to 2nd, 2026, ESATIC participated in the 6th edition of the African Digital Week at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, Abidjan. A major event dedicated to emerging technologies and Africa's digital future, centered around the theme: « Emerging Technologies: Shaping the Africa of Tomorrow ».

Through an information booth, ESATIC presented its training programs and interacted with the many visitors who came to discover the opportunities offered by the school in digital and ICT professions.

At the opening, Ms. Gertrude KONE, Executive Director of UNETEL, highlighted the strategic role of digital technology for African development and the importance of adopting innovations to stimulate growth. She also thanked Professor Adama KONATE, President of the Scientific Committee, for his commitment to the event's success. Mr. Laurent Gnon, President of GOTIC, emphasized the opportunities of digital technology in Africa. Convinced by this potential, he announced that his company would support the African Digital Week for the next five years.

The Minister of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, Djibril OUATTARA, opened the 6th edition of ADW by recalling the national ambition. The Ivorian government wants to make digital technology a major driver of development and transform the country into a true African technological hub through structural investments, training, and strategic partnerships.

The event was also marked by several high-level panels, conferences, and experience-sharing sessions led by national and international experts on themes such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, innovation, and digital infrastructure.
