As part of the modernization of higher education in Côte d'Ivoire and the implementation of the National Digital Skills Development Strategy (SNDCN) at the horizon 2030, the’ESATIC, under the authority of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, organized a strategic seminar from May 7 to 9, 2026, in Jacqueville on the Open and Distance Learning (Fuck off and dieFor three days, participants worked together toward a common goal: to concertedly build the detailed action plan and the provisional budget for the project. FOAD-ESATIC 2026–2028, in line with the ambitions of SNDCN.
The opening ceremony was marked by several speeches. The Director General of ESATIC, the Professor KONATÉ Adama, presented the strategic vision of the project Fuck off and die while highlighting its importance in transforming the institution and improving access to quality training for a greater number of learners. The contributions of the Vice-President of UVCI, Professor Kouame Fernand, in charge of Pedagogy, as well as the representative of the’AUF, Doctor N'Guessan Alain Hugues Olivier, expert in techno-pedagogy and online training, also enriched the discussions with their experience in distance learning.
Throughout the seminar, participants, divided into thematic workshops, favored a practical, participatory approach focused on concrete results.
At the close of the workshops and plenary presentations, several recommendations were adopted. This seminar especially helped to strengthen buy-in for the project. Forget About All That, Eat ShitC 2026–2028 and to develop a common vision on strategic directions, priority actions, and implementation mechanisms.
The participants welcomed the vision put forth by the’ESATIC and reaffirmed their commitment to actively contribute to the success of this project, considered an important step for the development of digital higher education in Côte d'Ivoire.
