On 07/05/2025, the Ecole Supérieure Africaine des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication (ESATIC) was honored to welcome a high-level delegation from the African Space Agency (AFSA). Led by its Chairman, Dr Tidiane OUATTARA, the delegation also included Mr COULIBALY Tidiane, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Digital Transition and Digitization.
The aim of the visit was twofold: to enable AFSA members to discover ESATIC's technical facilities, in particular its laboratories, and to talk directly with the students about the challenges of digital technology, innovation and the conquest of African space.
The Director of Pedagogy, Professor SORO Etienne, representing the establishment's General Manager, welcomed the delegation and expressed his gratitude to Dr OUATTARA for his availability and commitment to African youth.
During his speech, Dr OUATTARA shared an inspiring account of his career path, stressing the importance of excellence, scientific curiosity and personal commitment in building a promising career. He encouraged students to believe in their potential and to take an interest in the opportunities offered by space science and emerging technologies.
The meeting concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which the students were able to exchange views freely with the members of the delegation.
This visit marks a high point for ESATIC, confirming its openness to strategic partnerships on an African scale and its desire to inspire its students to go ever further.
