The Ivorian team 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐱𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭 won first place in the prestigious cybersecurity competition, at the grand finale of the 𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐓𝐅 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, which was held from October 14 to 16, 2024, in Abuja, Nigeria.
This competition, organized by ECOWAS in collaboration with Nigeria's National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), aims to encourage innovation to grow West Africa's digital economy.
Bringing together 44 young technophiles from 11 ECOWAS member states and Mauritania, this annual hackathon provides a platform for young talent to showcase their cybersecurity skills and develop solutions to emerging technological challenges.

For 30 hours, the team comprised of four members, including three former students of ESATIC: 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐨 𝐄𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐧 (formerly of ESATIC), 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐮 (formerly of ESATIC), 𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬 (formerly of ESATIC) and Badia Jean Stephen TRAORE, proudly represented Côte d’Ivoire and triumphed over the region's best talents.
