The project Deep Farm<\/strong>, funded by the ERASMUS from the European Union<\/strong>, is designed to enhance the skills of students and teachers in digital agriculture<\/strong>, through the use of\u2019Artificial Intelligence (AI)<\/strong>, from Big Data<\/strong> and the\u2019Internet of Things (IoT)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

DEEP FARM is a consortium of twelve (12) academic institutions (See Table 1 below) where four (4) European universities (2 in France, 1 in Italy, and 1 in Turkey) support eight (8) universities in four (4) third countries (Madagascar, C\u00f4te d'Ivoire, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic) to address the existing skills gap. This consortium works to strengthen the knowledge and capabilities of agronomy students with new AI and Big Data tools to face the challenges of modern\/green agriculture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pilot projects include Deep Cacao<\/strong>, in C\u00f4te d'Ivoire by the\u2019ESATIC<\/strong> and the\u2019INPHB<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this project, ESATIC is implementing an AI model based on neural networks to detect and prevent SWOLLEN SHOOT disease (analyzed by INPHB), one of the biggest threats to cocoa cultivation in C\u00f4te d'Ivoire. We present a table of the consortium's contributions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parmi les projets pilotes figure Deep Cacao, men\u00e9 en C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire par l\u2019ESATIC et l\u2019INPHB. Dans ce projet, il est question, pour l\u2019ESATIC, de mettre en place un mod\u00e8le IA bas\u00e9 sur les r\u00e9seaux de neurones pour d\u00e9tecter et pr\u00e9venir au plut\u00f4t la maladie de SWOLLEN SHOOT (analys\u00e9e par l\u2019INPHB), qui est l\u2019une des plus grandes menaces sur la culture du cacao en C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.
